2013 Chardonnay, Santa Barbara CountyWindrun 2013 Chardonnay
Santa Barbara County

Composition: This wine is an equal blend of grapes from two vineyards, one located in the Sta. Rita Hills, and one in nearby Los Alamos. One-half of the grapes were whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures. The other 50% were also whole cluster pressed, but then fermented in neutral 500 liter puncheons. This 50% did complete malolactic fermentation.

Color: Pale straw.

Nose & Palate: Tropical notes with a touch of minerality, resulting in a elegant texture with a refreshing finish.

Description: A wonderfully balanced wine, our Chardonnay is a fine complement to a menu of seafood, pastas, or bread and robust cheeses.

Awards: 88 points (silver) and a BEST BUY recommendation, 2016, World Wine Championships.
